4 sets overhead bridge cranes destined for Algeria, specifically for use inside the factory.

Basic Information:

The customer plans to build two new workshops and plans to install 4 single-beam overhead cranes, along with the associated tracks and supporting beams as ancillary facilities.

After detailed communication about the site conditions, we identified some issues: the reserved space from the internal column supports to the top of the workshop is insufficient, which could lead to potential collision risks between the crane’s main beam and the workshop’s ceiling. Additionally, there are differences in the length and span of the two workshops, and the construction of one of the workshops has already been completed.

Technical Solution

Given the current situation, our engineer re-evaluated the load capacity of the crane and recommended to the customer that double girder overhead cranes be used for the existing workshop, while single girder overhead cranes should be used for the workshop that has not yet been constructed. The advantage of this plan is that by adding a main girder, the height of the main girder can be reduced while ensuring load safety, effectively avoiding collision issues.

At the same time, it avoids the need for extensive modifications to the internal structure of the workshop, thereby saving costs. We also provided the customer with detailed drawings and quotations for both options, for their selection. Ultimately, the customer adopted our suggestion.
