Foldable Kunckle Boom Cranes,Unlike Telescopic Boom Cranes, the boom of folding-arm cranes is composed of multiple folding-joint connections, enabling the crane to flexibly adjust the shape and angle of the boom during operation.

The folding-arm sections are typically fabricated from high-strength steel. The joints of the folding arms are equipped with high-precision bearings and rotating devices, ensuring smooth folding and extension of the boom, as well as precise positioning to enhance accuracy. The base of marine folding-arm cranes is installed on the deck of the vessel by means of bolts or welding, and it possesses certain shock absorption and anti-heeling capabilities.

Small-sized folding-arm cranes are driven electrically, while larger marine folding-arm cranes predominantly employ hydraulic drives. The hydraulic system is capable of providing substantial power, allowing the boom to be lifted and rotated rapidly and steadily. The hydraulic system generally consists of components such as hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders, and hydraulic valves. The hydraulic pump supplies pressure oil, and the flow of the oil is controlled by the hydraulic valves to drive the extension and retraction of the hydraulic cylinder, thereby realizing various movements of the boom.
